An adult in a dark green sweater kneels on a wooden floor at a toddler's height. The child sits on a small rug looking down. A tan sofa is behind them.

About

A short book with photographs

ToddlerGuide is a static blog and handbook for parents and caregivers of children from 12 to 36 months. It is written to be read, not to collect users.

Who it is for

Parents, grandparents, and other caregivers who want to see what a season often looks like, what a well visit is for, and which AAP or CDC page to open next.

Who it is not for

It is not a clinic. It is not an early intervention evaluation. It is not a product for infants under 12 months or for school-age children. If you need care, call the child's clinician or emergency services.

How weekly updates work

One page, This week, can change when there is a sourced reason. The weekly job may also add a blog post. If there is not a reason, the editor skips. Skip is success. The rule is written in docs/WEEKLY_PUBLISH.md.

Editorial limits

  • AAP and CDC primary pages only
  • No indigo, emoji chips, or vanity statistics
  • No claim that this handbook is complete or final
  • Milestone lists stay in CDC's most-children frame
